My Best Recipe Tips
Fresh herbs: Feel free to swap out the dried Italian seasoning for fresh herbs like basil, oregano, or thyme.
Pounding the cutlets: Pound the turkey cutlets a bit thinner before searing so they cook evenly.
A touch of heat: Toss a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes into the sauce if you like a little kick.
Veggie boost: You can easily sneak extra veggies into the sauce, like diced bell peppers or zucchini.
Cutlet size: Make sure your turkey cutlets aren’t too thick, or they’ll take longer to bake through in the oven.
Soy sauce: Use a good quality soy sauce for a deeper, richer flavor.
Extra Creamy: If you love a richer, extra-creamy sauce, feel free to swirl in a little extra crème fraîche!
Taste as You Go: Make sure to give the sauce a taste before serving and tweak the seasonings to your liking.
Internal Temp: Aim for an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) on your turkey cutlets. That way, the meat is completely cooked through while staying super tender and juicy!

Can You Make This Ahead and Store It?
You can absolutely make these savory herb-tomato turkey cutlets ahead of time!
In fact, you can whip up the sauce a day early and let the cutlets sit and simmer right in it.
It actually tastes even better as the flavors meld together! Leftovers will keep great in the fridge for up to 2–3 days.
Need to freeze it? No problem! Just transfer everything to a freezer-safe container, and it’ll stay fresh for up to 3 months.
To reheat, simply thaw it in the fridge overnight and warm it gently in the oven or microwave.
Fun Variations to Try
Mediterranean Twist: Toss some sliced olives, capers, and chopped sun-dried tomatoes into the sauce.
Kick Up the Heat: Add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes, a spoonful of Sambal Oelek, or some diced fresh chilies.
Veggie Boost: Stir in diced bell peppers, zucchini, or sliced mushrooms while the sauce cooks down.
For Cheese Lovers: Top the cutlets with shredded mozzarella or freshly grated Parmesan before melting it under the broiler.
Curry-Coconut Style: Give the sauce an exotic spin by stirring in a dash of curry powder and a splash of coconut milk.
Pesto Swirl: Stir 2 to 3 tablespoons of basil pesto or red pesto into the sauce right at the end.
Honey Twist: Swap out the sugar in the sauce for honey to give it a delicious sweet-and-savory flavor.
Green Onions: Sprinkle sliced green onions over the top right before serving for a fresh, crisp finish.
What to Serve with This Dish
The Classics: Pasta, rice, egg noodles, mashed potatoes, or croquettes.
Keep It Light: A crisp side salad or steamed veggies.
