For the tuna and tomato sauce:
- 1 small red onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 20 g oil
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 p. strained tomatoes (500 g)
- 50 g tomato puree
- 2 tsp vegetable stock
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp oregano, dried
- 1 tsp marjoram, dried
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 150 g cream
- 1 tin of tuna in its own juice (drained weight 150 g)
In addition:
- 400 g spaghetti or other pasta
- fresh parsley, chopped
- Parmesan, grated (optional)

How do you make tuna and tomato sauce for pasta?
Preparation:
Cook the pasta according to the packet instructions in plenty of salted water until al dente.
In the meantime, peel and quarter the onion and peel the garlic cloves.
Put both into the mixing bowl and 5 sec. / Chop level 6. Anschließend mit dem Spatel nach unten schieben.
Then add the oil and 3 min. / 120 °C / level 1 steam.
Then add the strained tomatoes, tomato purée and spices and 5 min. / 98 °C / boil at level 1.
Now add the cream and continue 3 min. / 98 °C / level 2 cooking.
Finally, tear up the tuna with your hands, add to the sauce, stir in with a spatula and leave to stand for 2 minutes.
Drain the cooked pasta and serve with the sauce. If you like, you can garnish the pasta with some fresh parsley and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
