My Best Tips for Success
Make sure to give your rice a really thorough rinse until the water runs clear before adding it to your Thermomix®.
Feel free to swap out the chicken for turkey or pork if that’s what you have on hand.
Want to make it vegetarian? Simply leave out the meat and switch to vegetable broth.
If you love a little extra heat, kick it up a notch with a pinch of chili flakes or cayenne pepper.
Have fun experimenting with different types of long-grain rice, like fragrant Basmati or Jasmine rice.
Right before serving, top off your plov with fresh chopped herbs like parsley or cilantro for a vibrant finish!
Serve your plov with a dollop of yogurt or sour cream.
Feel free to mix up the veggies, too—bell peppers, zucchini, or eggplant all make fantastic additions.
Quick tip: Toast the spices in a skillet for a minute before adding them to the plov. It really wakes up their flavor!

Can You Make This Ahead of Time and Store Leftovers?
Absolutely! This plov is fantastic for meal prep. You can store it in an airtight container in the fridge for about 2 to 3 days.
It also freezes wonderfully in individual portions! Just thaw and reheat whenever you need a quick, easy weeknight dinner.
Tasty Variations to Try
Make it vegetarian: Simply skip the meat and use vegetable broth instead.
Swap for lamb: Replace the chicken with tender pieces of lamb for a classic taste.
Add a kick: Stir in a bit of chili powder or cayenne pepper for some heat.
Add raisins: Toss in a handful of raisins for a delightful touch of sweetness.
Add chickpeas: Stir in a can of chickpeas for extra protein and hearty texture.
Use dried apricots: Chop up a few dried apricots and mix them in for a lovely fruity flavor.
Top with nuts: Sprinkle toasted pine nuts or cashews over the top just before serving.

How to Make Chicken Plov (Carrot Rice with Chicken)
Instructions:
First, toss the sliced chicken breast with the poultry seasoning and oil until evenly coated, then spread it out in the Varoma® dish. Set aside.
Next, peel and quarter the onions. Peel the garlic cloves. Peel the carrots and cut them into chunks.
Place the vegetables into the mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec / speed 5.
Add the oil and sauté for 3 min / 120°C (250°F) / speed 1.
Now add the seasonings—chicken broth base, paprika, salt, pepper, and the bay leaves.
Insert the simmering basket into the mixing bowl and weigh in the rice.
Pour in enough water so that it sits about ½ inch (1 cm) above the rice.
Set the Varoma® dish with the chicken in place on top and cook for 30 min / Varoma® / speed 1.
Once the timer goes off, carefully transfer the cooked chicken and rice into a large serving bowl.
Pour the cooking liquid from the mixing bowl through a fine-mesh strainer or the simmering basket. Add the veggies left in the strainer (the carrots, onions, and garlic—be sure to discard the bay leaves!) to the bowl with the chicken and rice. Give everything a good mix, and serve!
Enjoy!

By the way, the prep times listed are just averages. Everyone cooks at their own pace, and sometimes things take a bit longer or shorter than expected.
