These banana split dessert jars layer luscious yogurt whipped cream, sweet fruity banana, and a rich homemade chocolate sauce into one seriously irresistible treat!
Add the sugar, vanilla extract, and salt, then heat for 5 min / 100 °C / Speed 2.
100 g Unsweetened cocoa powder
Next, add the unsweetened cocoa powder and mix for 5 sec / Speed 4.
Simmer for another 5 min / 100 °C / Speed 2. Pour the chocolate sauce into a clean jar or container and let it cool completely (it will thicken nicely as it cools).
250 g Heavy cream
To make the cream layer, whip the heavy cream with a hand mixer until stiff peaks form, then chill in the fridge.
2 Bananas, 250 g Greek yogurt, 50 g Powdered sugar, 2 tsp Vanilla extract
Add the chopped banana pieces, Greek yogurt, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract to the mixing bowl and blend for 20 sec / Speed 3.
Gently fold the whipped cream into the banana mixture.
2 Bananas, 75 g Choco Crossies®
To prep for layering, roughly crush the Choco Crossies® and slice the remaining bananas.
Now, layer the chocolate sauce, banana slices, banana cream, and crushed Choco Crossies® into individual dessert glasses or jars. Finish with a drizzle of warm chocolate sauce and serve!
Notes
Any leftover chocolate sauce can be kept in the fridge. Try not to assemble this dessert too far in advance so the Choco Crossies® stay nice and crunchy!
