½Crème fraîche1 container; sour cream or ricotta work great too
200gShredded cheese
Zubereitung
Preheat your oven to 180 °C (350 °F) conventional heat.
400 g Macaroni
Add the uncooked macaroni directly into a baking dish.
400 g Ground meat, 1 tsp Salt, ¼ tsp Black pepper
In a skillet, brown the ground meat until crumbly. Season generously with salt and pepper, then transfer it to the baking dish with the pasta.
1 Onion, 1 Garlic clove
Next up, let's make the sauce! Peel and quarter the onion, and peel and halve the garlic clove. Add both to the mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec / speed 5. Scrape down the sides of the bowl with your spatula and repeat.
20 g Oil, 40 g Tomato paste
Add the oil and tomato paste, then sauté for 2.5 min / 120 °C / speed 1.
500 ml Tomato purée, 600 ml Water, 1 Beef bouillon cube, 1 tsp Basil, 1 tsp Oregano, 1 tsp Sugar
Add the remaining sauce ingredients—tomato purée, water, beef bouillon, basil, oregano, sugar, salt, and pepper—and bring to a simmer for 5 min / 100 °C / speed 2.
Pour the hot sauce over the macaroni and ground meat mixture and give it a good stir, making sure all the pasta is fully coated and submerged. This step is key so the noodles cook up tender right in the sauce!
½ Crème fraîche, 200 g Shredded cheese
To finish, dollop spoonfuls of crème fraîche over the top, sprinkle generously with shredded cheese, and bake on the rack in the lower third of your oven for 30-35 minutes.
Note: Baking times can vary slightly depending on your oven. Mine was perfectly cooked right at the 30-minute mark!
Garnish with fresh parsley or basil, and serve hot. Enjoy!
