Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces—either cubes or strips work great, depending on what you prefer.
80 g Tikka Masala paste
Place the chicken pieces in a bowl and add the Tikka Masala paste. Use a little more or less paste depending on how spicy you like it.
Toss everything together until all the chicken pieces are evenly coated in the paste.
Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 3 hours (or overnight). The longer the chicken marinates, the more incredible the flavor will be!
Instructions:
1 Large onion, 1 Garlic clove, piece Fresh ginger
Peel the onion, garlic, and ginger, then cut the onion into quarters.
1 Large onion, 1 Garlic clove, piece Fresh ginger
Add the onion, garlic, and ginger to the mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec / speed 5.
Use the spatula to scrape down the sides of the mixing bowl and repeat if any large chunks remain.
40 g Butter, 1 tsp Garam Masala, ½ tsp Turmeric
Add the butter, Garam Masala, and turmeric, then sauté for 3 min / 120°C (250°F) / speed 1.
2 Canned diced tomatoes, 200 ml Heavy cream
Next, add the canned diced tomatoes and heavy cream to the mixing bowl.
Close the lid and blend the sauce for 5 sec / speed 8.
Pro Tip: If you prefer an extra velvety sauce, blend for a few seconds longer.
1 tsp Salt, 1 tsp Sugar, 600 g Chicken breast fillets
Now add the salt, sugar, and marinated chicken.
Set controls to 25 min / 100°C (210°F) / reverse mode / gentle stir setting. (The reverse setting keeps the chicken pieces from getting shredded).
Once the cooking time is up, check that the chicken is cooked through, and season with a little extra salt if needed.
Finally, serve your Butter Chicken over warm rice with fluffy naan bread and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro.
Notes
This Butter Chicken is super flavorful, richly spiced, and warm without being fire-breath spicy—it has just a gentle kick. Feel free to adjust the heat level to suit your taste!
You can easily find store-bought Tikka Masala paste in the global aisle at most grocery stores, available in various heat levels.
If you like a little extra heat, go ahead and add more Garam Masala, a pinch of chili powder, or some fresh chopped chilies to the sauce.
